A Young Lady Gets Arrested For DUI, Talks To Her Manager At Work, And Gets Motivated To Turn Her Life Around And Reclaim Her Self Respect

Jacquie was identified at the office as a very conservative individual who had an exceptional attendance record. She in no way went to any of the happy hours right after work and it was well-known through the entire company that she was quite a religious person who oftentimes talked about the hazards of alcohol abuse and dependency on alcohol in our United States.

Try to imagine the surprise inside the office when one Monday morning Jacquie didn't show up for work and not a soul had heard from her. In reality, it wasn't until approximately 9:15 in the morning that the human resources department received a phone call about Jacquie from the local city jail.

Apparently, Jacquie went out drinking along with a few of her university pals late Saturday night and at some point about 2:45 early Sunday morning, Jacquie was arrested for "driving while intoxicated." Because her blood alcohol content level was quite high, she was mandated to spend two days in the county jail.

When Jacquie arrived at the office on Tuesday morning, she promptly shared with her boss what had transpired and she asked if she might possibly go and talk with the Human Resources manager about her "drunk driving" arrest. The Human Resources director told Jacquie that she should schedule an appointment with somebody inside the fine company employee's assistance program to discuss any probable drinking problem that she might have. The Human Resources director also mentioned that she needs to discuss her wish to hire a "drunk driving" attorney to represent her regarding her "drunk driving" case.

Moreover, the Human Resources manager told Jacquie that it was a good thing that she wanted to hire a DWI lawyer simply because of the complexities and harsh implications that are connected to a DWI conviction. Just before finishing their conversation, the Human Resources manager informed Jacquie that it was very encouraging that she doesn't seem to have any long term alcohol effects. The Human Resources manager claimed that this is significant because according to some of the most recent alcoholism statistics and facts, the long term effects of alcohol not only destroy a person's health, but that they can also weaken most, if not all important relationships the problem drinker may have.

Jacquie thanked the Human Resources manager for his practical and motivating thoughts and then walked over to the company employee's assistance program to discuss her DUI arrest, her participation in abusive drinking drinking over the weekend, and her aspiration to hire a "driving under the influence" attorney to represent her "drunk driving" case. After listening to Jacquie's narration, the therapist from the company employee's assistance program articulated Jacquie's immediate "plan of action" that she needed to understand and follow.

First, she would be required to take a DUI class to learn more DUI Facts and information. Second, she would also have to attend and alcohol abuse class to address her probable problem drinking. And finally, it would be a particularly intelligent thing to do if she were to talk to a DUI Attorney about her "driving while intoxicated" arrest.
