The official reading age is age three to seven (As suggested by Barefoot Books themselves). I disagree with that a lot. My daughter was given this particular great book whilst she was barely two. By the time she had mastered it, which doesn't take much time, she usually had me, my mother and my grandmother each and every one dancing all along. So I say no age constraint after all. Unless it is 2 to 75!
It should have a safety notice as well for being so easy to learn by heart. Once I found myself in my local Tesco's humming the tune all the way around whilst I did my food shopping. I am positive everyone thought I was totally cockamamie.
This is such a fabulous join in book for events, kindergartens and childminders since it is very easy to perform.
If you do organise or help within an organisation or are planning a gathering then The Animal Boogie is just what the doctor ordered. Not only is it particularly inclusive, but for a few budding musicians, there is also a musical score inside the back. Possibly even get everyone making musical instruments similar to bead shakers.
Bear in mind it is all about taking part and having enjoyment. I assure you will have a smile on your features plus be laughing like a drain when you have finished.
